programs

More than 4,300 young people participate in FACT's studio, public school, and community outreach programs each year. Our award-winning approach and innovative teaching method inspire youth with a range of art experiences. We welcome all students, regardless of financial circumstance, and can meet site- and population-specific needs.

Youth Mural Program

FACT offers mural-making opportunities throughout the year that connect young people to their community. With support from an organization or business, FACT organizes classes and creates a site-specific mural as a public art piece. FACT mural sites include A Salon, The Lensic Theater and a 950-foot-long community mural that surrounds the Jacob Martinez neighborhood on Santa Fe's Southside.

Public School

ARTreach

Weekly in-school classes
Our semester-based arts-learning program serves kindergarten through sixth-grade children at elementary schools in Santa Fe, Española, and other regional school districts. Guided by New Mexico State Standards and Benchmarks, our hands-on lessons meet developmental needs of specific age groups and reinforce each school's academic goals.

ARTteach

Professional development for public-school teachers
and arts educators

Related to ARTreach, our professional-development workshops help integrate visual-arts learning into the classroom. FACT instructors train teachers during scheduled in-service work days and through ARTreach classroom experiences.

ARTclub

Weekly after-school classes
Our after-school program serves kindergarten through sixth-grade children. Semester-based classes run for one to three hours during the academic year at selected Santa Fe public elementary schools and community centers.

ARTcamp

Weekly/daily summer programs

Teen Advisory Council

FACT staff and students are excited to kick off our Teen Advisory Council, comprised of Teen FACT Students who will help to make decisions about FACT's Teen programming as well as become FACT ambassadors to the community. The Advisory council will offer teens an opportunity to think creatively about what art programs Santa Fe Teens want and need, and to take a leadership role in designing classes, exhibitions and events for teens. Please contact program@factsantafe.org if you are interested in learning more about the Teen Advisory Council.
